Day 4 - Final Race Action at the Downhill Cup

Race-Day action on the final day
Sunday was the big final race of the iXS Downhill Cup in Winterberg. Almost 500 starters hammered their bikes over the track. The last day of the festival did not mean a break for the participants for the time being. To get a few more training runs in on race day required a lot of patience, because lots of people meant a long lift queue.
The fastest woman in the elite class on Sunday was Nina Hoffmann from the Santa Cruz Syndicate Team with a lead of more than 3 seconds. Behind her, Anna Newkirk (USA - Beyond Racing) finished second and Sian A'hern (AUS - YT MOB) was third. In the Elite Men class, Phillipp Atwill (GBR) from the Propain Positive Team placed at the top of the podium with a 2 second lead. He was joined by Oisin O Callaghan (IRL - YT MOB) in second place and Tyler Ervin from the USA in third.

VPACE Rookies Jam
While 500 riders were dueling on the downhill track, the newcomers to slopestyle were able to show what they've got at the VPACE Rookies Jam. The young talents did 360s, tailwhips, barspins and other spirits. Among the crowd was Erik Fedko, who had the chance to see who he might be competing against in the next years.

Now the iXS Dirt Masters Festival 2023 is already over. After countless highlights and four days of action at the Expo Area, it is now time to look back on the whole thing. This is not the end
Next year, the iXS Dirt Masters returns to Winterberg from May 17 to 20 and will continue to write the history of Europe's biggest Gravity Festival. The iXS Downhill Cup continues on May 26 in Willingen with the German championship.
